Nature’s Stones, Inc.

This seminar teaches the art of safely handling hot massage stones in a full body protocol. It incorporates many massage techniques and essential oils to create a very relaxing and therapeutic treatment. The seminar includes history, contraindications, care and cleaning, demonstrations and hands-on work

This class is 2 days and 16 CEUS

Participants should bring:

1 sheet set, 1 king size pillow, 2 hand towels, 1 large bath towel, 1 face cradle cover

We will also be looking for some people to bring massage tables.

There will be two “package deals” for equipment and supplies that can be reserved for purchase at the conference.

Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy

This seminar introduces the basic understanding of CranioSacral Therapy as taught by its founder John Upledger, of the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

You will learn a clear overview of the anatomy and physiology of the CranioSacral System and how it affects our body’s ability to function at its highest level. You will learn hands-on techniques in the palpation of the CranioSacral rhythm along with detection and release of restrictions that affect it.

This class is 2 days and 12 CEUS

Participants should bring paper and pen and wear layers of clothing for comfort

Active Isolated Stretching: The Spa Method

This seminar takes stretching to a new level within the spa environment based on Aaron Mattes’ clinical approach. In this 2-day class the participant will be learning specific routines, which will be broken down into three segments: neck, shoulders, and lower body. All routines will have hands on segments to warm the tissue and teach the participant a series of stretches and the muscles involved in those stretches. Your clients will be amazed by the fluidity of your work and it’s therapeutic benefits.

This class is 2 days and 16 CEUS

Participants should bring a fitted sheet and face cradle cover.

We will also be looking for some people to bring massage tables.

Bamboo-Fusion

Bamboo-Fusion is a full body routine that is performed on a massage table using warmed bamboo tools and lotion. During the seminar participants will learn to effleurage and petrissage using warm bamboo to deliver a luxurious and effective massage (relaxation or deep tissue). The workshop is 80% hands on utilizing the bamboo tools. The lecture portion of the training covers the history of bamboo, contraindications, marketing, and care/cleaning of bamboo sets.

This class is 2 days and 16 CEUS

Bamboos Sets and DVD’s will be available for purchase

Participants will need:

Bolster or pillow, sheet set, face cradle cover, and massage lotion

We will also be looking for people to bring massage tables.

Baby’s First Massage

Teresa Kirkpatrick Ramsey

This seminar will provide the participant with an overview of the physiological needs of a newborn, supportive research, the benefits and contraindications to newborn massage, as well as experiential exercises and hands on work. There will be a live demonstration of how to teach parents how to massage their baby. You will also learn how to develop a plan to implement a Baby’s First Massage program and be given the opportunity to increase your learning and experience with an additional certification process.

This class 1 day and 11 CEUS with an opportunity for more

Participants will need:

20” doll, baby blanket, comfortable clothes for work on the floor

There is a $35.00 materials fee for this class due on conference day

We will be looking for a family to participate in the live demo.

Professional Ethics in Massage

Nancy Porambo

This seminar will allow participants to address a variety of ethical issues, which may confront them in their practices. It will increase the confidence level in handling uncomfortable situations assertively, with compassion for the client or other practitioners involved. This is an interactive class with involvement form the participants expected.

Our Presenters

Bruce Baltz

Bruce is an internationally recognized educator with over 25 years of experience in the fitness and bodywork industry. He is an LMT in New York and Florida. He is also a member of the AMTA, NCBTMB, and the FSMTA. Bruce developed his second, and very popular, educational workshop – Active Isolated Stretching in 2007.

Cary Bayer

A life coach in Florida and New York and author of numerous publications, Cary has developed five CEU classes based on marketing, skill building, and communication. He has coached more than 100 massage therapists and is a faculty member of

Massage Business University.

Nathalie Cecilia

Nathalie is an LMT and continuing education provider. She was born in Nimes, South France and has a master’s degree in Philosophy and Languages. She owns and operates a Thai Studio and Massage Therapy office in Sarasota, FL

Pat Mayrhofer

Pat has been a CMT, cosmetologist, and instructor since 1995. She has incorporated healing stones into multi-disciplinary approaches to client treatment. She is involved in teaching, community outreach and her own practice. She has developed many videos and has created a full line of products that promote safe hot stone massage.

Ethel Nelson

A certified presenter of the Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy, Ethel is a physical therapist at Chambersburg hospital as well as CEO of Alternative Health Solutions. She has studied CST for greater than 20 years and has participated in advance studies at the Upledger Institute in Florida.

Teresa KirkPatrick Ramsey

Teresa is the author and developer of Baby’s First Massage®, and is a Registered Nurse, a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. She has experience as a staff nurse in all clinical areas of obstetrics and has been involved throughout her career in teaching, developing and expanding educational services.

Nancy Porambo

A Board Certified LMT of many years, Nancy has her own practice in Pennsylvania using many varieties of modalities. 

Her Ethics class is known to be interesting and interactive.
